Bluetooth

(BT)
Bluetooth is a short-range radio con-
nection by means of which a headset
or car kit or such can be connected
without the need for wires.
Using the Send function in the op-
tions menu for the application con-
cerned you can also use this route to
send data.
Each Bluetooth device has its own
specific address and can be given a
self-explanatory name as an option.
Password protection ensures the se-
curity of a Bluetooth connection, as
does including the BT partner in a list
of "confidential" devices.
To establish a Bluetooth connection
between your phone and other Blue-
tooth devices you must activate the
function.

Bluetooth reduces the phone’s
standby time if it is activated.

If the clamshell is closed:
The connection status is displayed on
the outer display.
A notification is displayed to announce
ongoing data transfer via bluetooth.
Press µ to cancel the data transfer.
If another user tries to establish a con-
nection and the device is truseted
(page 110), the connection is estab-
lished automatically. If the other device
is not trusted a request is displayed to
open the clamshell.
